NOTICE TO BIDDERS
PROJECT: Sullivan High School – Project 1: Faculty Lounge & Band Room Renovations
LOCATION: Sullivan, IN
Notice is hereby given that the Board for the, Southwest School Corporation will receive sealed bids under one prime contract for the renovation at the existing High School as described below.
The project will include the renovation of the existing Band Room, Faculty Lounge, Toilets, Music Storage and 2 offices. The area will be renovated to become New Men’s & Women’s Restrooms, Faculty Lounge, Men’s & Women’s Toilets, Files & Storage Room, New Office & renovation of existing office. This renovation includes demolition of MEP, raised concrete floor slab, flooring & base, kitchen unit, wood doors, metal door frames, CMU walls and acoustic ceilings. Improvements to the area will include portion of new concrete floor slab, CMU walls, hollow metal door frames & window frames, wood doors, door hardware, metal stud walls, acoustic ceilings, epoxy resinous flooring, gypsum board, paint, carpeting, rubber base, VCT flooring, restroom partitions, restroom accessories, structural steel framing, casework, HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
Proposals for the work as indicated on the contract documents will be received as follows:
Unified Bid Package: Base bid shall include general construction, mechanical construction and electrical construction.
Bids shall be accepted at the Southwest School Corporation Office of Administration, 1502 N Section Street, Sullivan IN, 47882. Bids are due at 1:00 P.M. EST, Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
Bids will be opened and read immediately after submission of proposals at Southwest School Corporation Office of Administration, 1502 N Section Street, Sullivan IN, 47882.
Bidders shall include with their bid, a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a bank draft, certified check, money order or bid bond. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on Revised Form No. 96 as required by the Statutes of Indiana.
After the Southwest School Corporation has made an award to the successful bidder, the bid securities will be returned within thirty (30) days. The bid security of the lowest acceptable bidder will be returned on request after the Southwest School Corporation has made an award to the successful bidder and if satisfactory Payment and Performance Bonds have been delivered to the Southwest School Corporation.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Payment and Performance Bond in the sum equal to the full amount of the Contract.
This is a common construction wage project. The common construction wage rates to be used for this project are included as part of the bid documents.
The Southwest School Corporation reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received or to accept any proposal which is deemed most favorable to the Southwest School Corporation at the time and under the conditions stipulated in the Contract Documents.

The Southwest School Corporation Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
